We are excited to welcome Adam Kong as our most recent appointment, joining the Carnarvon team in the new role of Corporate Development Manager.

Adam started his career at Senex Energy as a reservoir engineer, where he was responsible for field development, reserves and resource estimation and maturation of its onshore oil, gas, and unconventional resources fields. He transitioned into corporate and commercial roles and later rose to the position of Business Development Manager with responsibilities of managing M&A and divestments processes and providing guidance to the corporate strategy.

A significant highlight working at Senex was leading the A$87.5m sale of the Cooper Basin portfolio in South Australia to Beach Energy.

Adam is joining the team as our Corporate Development Manager, a new position created to assist the Company with pursuing and managing M&A projects and new business ventures.

“A large part of what attracted me to this role was my alignment with the Company’s desire to seek out value-accretive inorganic growth opportunities which can transform the business,” said Adam.

“We are in challenging yet exciting times in our industry. Right across the sector, we see the energy transition taking shape as the world focuses on decarbonising to address climate change. We can be innovative, creative and agile, being that we can thrive and unlock real value for shareholders.

“I couldn’t think of a better company to have joined. Carnarvon is on a fascinating growth trajectory as it makes the final steps in transforming itself from an explorer into a major producer.”

The immediate focus includes:

  • Assessing potential M&A opportunities for the Company
  • Assisting with the financing process for the Dorado development
  • Managing the new biorefining venture with Frontier Impact Group
